Original pattern: There are two versions of this scarf pattern.
This one, with ovals with rays, is in the collection of the Estonian National Museum ERM A 992:17, donated to the museum by Eva Steffensson, who fled from Ruhnu to Sweden in 1944 at the age of 19.
The second one, with a floral centre-piece, is in the collection of the Saaremaa Museum SM_10379:31 T. The original belonged to the Elias Shönberg family, who moved from Ruhnu to Gotland in 1944. The original item dates from before 1940.
Care instructions: Hand wash or delicate cycle max 40°C. Low spin max 400 rpm. Use phosphate‑free detergent. Do not bleach. Do not spot‑clean or rub wet prints. Air‑dry only (no tumble dry). Iron cotton setting max 200°C. Fully printed fabrics: iron from the reverse side.
